I was raised on a family farm in St John, Washington, where I helped with farming operations in our production of dryland wheat. While at the University of Idaho I have placed an emphasis on Crop Science in addition to my degree in Agricultural Systems Management. During the summer of 2000 I completed an internship at the Parma Research Center in southern Idaho. There I worked with the Plant Pathology department in potato production and onions. My plans for after graduation in the Spring of 2001 is to gain employment in the treasure valley in either a crop production or a food processing position. Eventually I would like to settle down with my wife Dawsha to start a family of my own. Contact me at pool_john@hotmail.com
I was raised on a family farm in American Falls, Idaho, where I helped with farming operations in our production of dryland and irrigated wheat. While at the University of Idaho I have placed an emphasis on Agribuisness in addition to my degree in Agricultural Systems Management. During the summer of 2000 I completed an internship at Coors Brewing in Burley, Idaho. There I worked with the research farm manager and gained knowledge in malt barley production and pinto beans (a rotation crop). My plans for after graduation in the Spring of 2001 is to go on to graduate school in Agricultural Economics, where I will be working with Dr. James R. Jones on Idaho transportation tax issues and with Dr. Ed Souza creating a Hard White Wheat enterprise budget. I would like to eventually return to the family farm in American Falls.
