There are two mean annual precipitation maps for Idaho available in digital format. The first map (precip.E00.Z) is published by the Idaho State Climate Services while the second map comes from the PRISM project of the Oregon Climate Service.
For those who prefer a printed precipitation map, a colorful 25" x 35" paper map is available at a scale of 1:1,000,000. This shows the isohyetal lines superimposed on a relief map of Idaho. This map is quite decorative in addition to being useful as a guide to precipitation in Idaho.
Mean Annual Precipitation Report. This report gives some background information on the mean annual precipitation maps and a method to derive mean monthly precipitation.
